Who is this program designed for?

The Prometeo Coaching School is designed for people with different professional backgrounds who want to develop structured Coaching competencies.

The program may be suitable for you if:

• you want to become a Professional Coach;
• you want to integrate Coaching into your work as a manager, entrepreneur, HR professional, trainer or consultant while maintaining clear professional boundaries;
• you are looking for education that includes practice and qualified feedback, not theory alone;
• you want to learn how to manage a structured Coaching process with Clients;
• you want to develop professional listening, presence, communication and facilitation skills;
• you want a learning process that continues beyond the intensive classroom phase.

The program is not designed as a generic personal-growth or motivational experience. Its purpose is the development of professional Coaching competencies.

Professional standards: what each reference actually means

Professional Coaching in Italy involves different legal, associative, technical and international reference systems. They perform different functions and should not be treated as interchangeable.

Program structure

The Prometeo Coaching School provides 100 hours of professional Coach education within an overall learning process of approximately six months.

The program is designed so that learning does not end with classroom attendance. Education is progressively connected with experimentation, practice and professional development.

Full Immersion, Weekend and Weekday formats

The School is available in different attendance formats according to the edition and calendar. The format determines how the education is organized; it does not change the professional purpose of the learning process.

Practice, feedback, Mentoring and Supervision

Professional Coaching cannot be developed through theoretical knowledge alone.

For this reason, practice is integrated throughout the Prometeo learning process. Participants have opportunities to apply what they are learning, receive feedback and progressively develop greater awareness of how they conduct a Coaching conversation and manage a Coaching process.

Mentoring supports the development of Coaching competencies and professional awareness.

Supervision creates a structured space in which Coaching practice and professional situations can be examined with the support of experienced professionals.

The objective is not simply to know Coaching models, but to develop the ability to use Coaching professionally and responsibly.

What you will learn to do

• establish and manage a clear Coaching agreement;
• conduct structured Coaching conversations;
• develop professional listening and presence;
• use questions and feedback appropriately within a Coaching relationship;
• facilitate Client awareness, responsibility and autonomy;
• support the definition of objectives and actions without replacing the Client’s decision-making responsibility;
• recognize professional boundaries between Coaching, consulting, mentoring, training and healthcare professions;
• reflect on your own Coaching practice and continue developing your competencies.

What happens after completing the program?

Completing the Prometeo Coaching School and obtaining individual professional recognition are separate processes.

At the end of the training process, participants receive the documentation issued by Prometeo Coaching for the program they have completed.

Those who wish to join A.Co.I. – Associazione Coaching Italia may subsequently apply according to the Association’s membership and professional qualification requirements.

For members who satisfy the applicable requirements, A.Co.I. may issue the Attestato di Qualità e di Qualificazione Professionale dei Servizi provided for within the framework of Italian Law 4/2013.

This Attestation is not a state license and is not legally required in order to practise Coaching.

Professionals who wish to pursue an international ICF pathway can access ICF-accredited Level 1 and Level 2 programs through Vira Human Training.

Prometeo Coaching and ICF

The Prometeo Coaching professional education system in Italy and the international credentialing system operated by ICF – International Coaching Federation are distinct.

Through the partnership with Vira Human Training, ICF-accredited education is available for professionals who want to pursue an ICF credential pathway.

• ICF Level 1 provides an accredited education pathway toward the ACC – Associate Certified Coach credential.
• ICF Level 2 provides an accredited education pathway toward the PCC – Professional Certified Coach credential.

ACC and PCC are individual credentials awarded by International Coaching Federation after applicants meet the applicable requirements and complete ICF’s credentialing process. They are not automatically awarded by Prometeo Coaching or Vira Human Training.

Faculty and Academic Direction

The School is led by Angelo Bonacci, Founder and Academic Director of Prometeo Coaching, who established Prometeo Coaching in 1997.

The educational team brings together Professional Coaches and trainers with experience across different Coaching contexts and supports participants throughout the learning, practice, feedback, Mentoring and Supervision process.

The faculty’s role is not simply to deliver content. It is to accompany the progressive development of the participant’s ability to understand, practise and reflect on Professional Coaching.

Enrollment and access

Italian Law 4/2013 does not establish a specific university degree as a legal prerequisite for practising Coaching as a profession not organized into a statutory professional order or register.

People from different educational and professional backgrounds can therefore approach Professional Coach education, while activities legally reserved for other professions remain reserved for appropriately qualified professionals.

Access to the Prometeo Coaching School includes a preliminary conversation designed to understand the participant’s objectives, expectations and the most appropriate attendance format.
